Ben Marcus is the author of several books, including The Age of Wire and String, and The Flame Alphabet. His most recent book is Leaving the Sea, a collection of stories. His work has appeared in Harper’s, Granta, The New Yorker, and Tin House, among other places. He lives in New York, where he is on the faculty at Columbia University.
