John Burt, Laura Quinney have forthcoming books
Professors John Burt and Laura Quinney have forthcoming books from Harvard University Press.
Burt's book "Lincoln's Tragic Pragmatism" will explore the difficulties which arise when a political culture based upon dealmaking and compromise faces questions, such as the slavery question, which involve moral absolutes.
Quinney's work "William Blake on Self and Soul" will use fresh readings of the poet to reveal his innovative ideas about the experience of subjectivity.
