Admissions

Please use the following guidelines for application requirements. Applications are accepted on a continual rolling basis. Currently we are reviewing applications for enrollment in fall 2013.

  1. A completed application form (coordinated through the Brandeis Graduate School of Arts and Sciences). You may complete an electronic application or download a paper application (pdf). If you choose to use the electronic application, be sure to select PB Studio Art as your Academic Program (on the bottom of the first page).
  2. Official undergraduate transcripts from the appropriate college or university registrar.
  3. Statement of purpose. In essay form, state your reasons for wishing to undertake post-baccalaureate graduate work.
  4. Twelve images, minimum, of recent works: painting, sculpture, prints and/or drawings. All digital images (jpg, tiff or pdf) should be no larger than 2MB each and saved to a Mac compatible CD. Please enclose return postage and envelope if you wish to have your materials returned.
  5. Slide list in order of presentation with size, medium and date of each work.
  6. One letter of recommendation in duplicate sent directly from the professor under whom you have studied in your area of proposed specialization.
