Since 1993, the Post-Baccalaureate program has attracted ambitious young artists from around the country, with diverse backgrounds and varied approaches. The program has witnessed these artists come together and has maintained the goal of intensifying their studio practice while pushing their work forward.
This year's class embodies the widest spectrum of artistic approaches, with students working on everything from perceptually-based painting to conceptually-based performance. Yet each student's highly individual approach has benefited from the momentum, energy and diversity of the group.
Through critical dialogue with faculty and visiting artists, students have been challenged to expand their notions of what is possible in their work.
