Memorial Planned at OAH Meeting in New Orleans for George Washington University Professor Emeritus James Oliver Horton

In Memoriam: George Washington University professor emeritus of history and American studies James Oliver Horton (PhD '73) died on February 20th. Professor Horton will be remembered as a pioneer in African American research.
An informal gathering was held at The OAH Annual meeting in New Orleans for Jim's friends and colleagues to honor him with their own testimony and to speak of his life and his many contributions to the study and teaching of U.S. history.
