Amigos Brochure
During the fall 2007 semester, fourteen students in Professor Silvia Arrom's History 171b class, Latino/a History, produced the Amigos brochure. The purpose was to give the Latino population of Waltham information about public and private organizations that aid immigrants with language classes, health care, housing, immigration, and credit issues. One thousand copies of the original brochure were distributed throughout the city; the brochure below is the revised second printing of Amigos. The publication was part of a class research program under the auspices of the Brandeis Community-Engaged Learning initiative that seeks to build bridges between the university and the local community.
