A Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Colby College, Dana Russian has been performing in Boston since 1979. He is the principal trumpet of the Pro Arte Chamber Orchestra and a member of the Springfield Symphony,. He frequently performs with the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra, Boston Lyric Opera Orchestra, and Boston Ballet Orchestra, as well as various regional orchestras and choral groups. Dana is a member of the award winning Beacon Brass Quintet, which in 1983 was the first brass group to receive the Concert Artist Guild Award. In addition to his musical activities, he enjoys modifying his old BMW, and taking it to car shows, autocrosses and ice races. Dana lives with his wife Christine, children Katie and Gregory in Winchester. |
