NEJS Coffeehouse: Fun for Undergraduates, Graduate Students, and Faculty

On February 26, 2009, the Lown conference room was transformed by NEJS UDRs into a packed Coffeehouse with fabulous live entertainment and refreshments.  Professor David Wright, NEJS Chair, played his own soprano saxophone jazz composition with graduate student Michael Singer providing percussion.  Professor Ellie Kellman provided guitar accompaniment to a rousing Yiddish sing-along "to life."

Brandeis students from Hebrew, NEJS, and IMES entertained with singing, juggling, and rap.  A guest appearance by the Jewish Fella A Capella group combined beautiful harmony with witty humor.  The NEJS Coffeehouse is sure to become a regular annual event!
