Alyssa grew up in Quincy, MA and received a BA with majors in Women’s Studies and Political Science, and an MA in Teaching before settling on Philosophy. Her philosophical interests are broad and ever expanding, but generally involve social and political philosophy, feminist philosophy, normative ethics, and applied ethics. Lately, she has been exploring questions of disability and justice, autonomy and oppression, and global justice.
Outside of philosophy, Alyssa enjoys most activities that are popular with the 70+ crowd; these include, but are not limited to, knitting, crochet, embroidery, quilting, and bread baking. She also enjoys reading trashy science-fiction novels and feminist activism.
