David grew up in Colorado Springs, Colo., at the foot of the Rocky Mountains. Hiking in those mountains, he finds peace. He also finds household chores cathartic after a long day of study.
According to David, "Greek is a wondrous language. I prefer Plato and Aristotle to Wittgenstein and Quine. Billy Collins is my favorite poet, but I can be found reading Tennyson, Milton and McDonald. I am interested in the intersections of ancient philosophy with political theory and ethics. What insights about problems can we garner from the classical mindset?"
He enjoys good scotch, good conversation and straight-line jazz.
