Nelson Hosley

Nelson Hosley's research interests are in philosophy of the social sciences, epistemology, and social philosophy.

He obtained a B.A. from the University of Pittsburgh in both philosophy and sociology. There he wrote his honors thesis on the plausibility of a pluralist (as distinguished from a naturalist or anti-naturalist) approach to discursive norms. Then he completed a M.Sc. in Philosophy of the Social Sciences at the London School of Economics & Political Science, where he wrote his dissertation on group agency in sociological discourse.

Nelson is from Pennsylvania. Outside of academics, he takes an interest in fly-fishing and antiques.
