James grew up in Federal Way and Tacoma, WA. He received his A.A. from Pierce College in 2011, and his B.A. in philosophy from Western Washington University in 2013. He’s interested in political and social philosophy, metaethics, and applied ethics. Lately, he’s been exploring issues of social responsibility and distributive justice. He’s also keenly interested in Buddhism and other eastern philosophies.

Outside of philosophy, James enjoys listening to music, making music, singing, reading, photographing, and learning anything and everything under the sun. He’s been training MMA for the past year and hopes to continue training when he gets to the east coast. James enjoys living a healthy, fit lifestyle and is always eager to help others to do the same. In the spirit of Dr. Cornel West, James just hopes to leave this world a little better than it was when he found it.
