Jonathan Phillips

Jonathan grew up in Massachusetts and earned a B.A. in philosophy from Boston College, where he developed interests in metaphysics and ancient philosophy. He likes to think about how ideas discussed by philosophers like Plato and Aristotle can shed light on contemporary discussions of modality, universals, essence, causation, and other metaphysical topics. He's also interested in classical accounts of the soul and their place within the philosophy of mind.

Outside of philosophy, Jonathan enjoys listening to Beethoven, learning languages (especially French), and travelling.
