Rachel was raised in Massachusetts, but upon deciding that the climate there was a bit too balmy for her liking, she ventured up to the frigid north to receive her BA in Philosophy from McGill University.
During her undergraduate work, she became interested in environmental ethics, particularly the conflicts between individualism and holism in regards to adjudicating competing claims.
Some of her more current philosophical interests include epistemology (particularly solutions to scepticism), ancient cosmology, and British Empiricism.
In addition to philosophy, Rachel enjoys rock climbing, reading literature and trying to bike up the fewest number of hills possible.
