Procedure for Obtaining Politics Credit
for Study Outside the Department

Transferring Credits

There is a new university one-petition-fits-all Petition for Major/Minor Transfer Credit issued by the Registrar but also available from the Politics Department office.

    Study Abroad

Approval of petitions for study abroad credits requires three steps:

    1. An official transcript has been received by the Study Abroad Office

    2. General course credit has been granted through the Study Abroad Office

    3. The completed petition is approved by the Politics Department

When you have university approval of general course credit, make an appointment to see the Politics Study Abroad advisor Professor Donald Hindley. Bring proof of course approval plus the Petition for Major/Minor Transfer Credit with your part filled out.

The Department will send the completed Petition to the Registrar's Office.

Courses Taken at Other U.S. Institutions
    or Other Departments at Brandeis

Fill out your part of the Request for Exemption or Substitution in a Major/Minor and email it as a .pdf attachment to woll@brandeis.edu. If the petition is approved by the Undergraduate Advising Head copies will be sent to the Registar, the student and the Politics department.
