Directions to the Emotion Lab

The Emotion Lab is located in room 316 of the Volen National Center for Complex Systems.

Parking Permit

You will need a parking permit to park on campus. Typically, we will send you a parking permit and instructions in the mail before your visit. You can also get a temporary parking pass at the gatehouse at the main entrance to campus (or at the parking office during the summer session). Please hang the parking permit on your rear-view mirror.

Parking Directions

Please print a copy of the campus map (PDF). A representative from our lab can meet you at the main entrance gatehouse if you need additional assistance. Otherwise, follow the directions below.

  1. Enter the main entrance to campus and proceed up the right side of Loop Road toward Upper Campus.
  2. Proceed on Loop Road past the Science Complex, continuing to bear left.
  3. You will pass Usen Castle on the left and the East Quad residence hall on the right. Stay on Loop Road, bearing left.
  4. After Usen Castle, you will pass the Usdan Student Center on your left and the North Academic Quad on your right.
  5. Continue on Loop Road past the Heller School on your left and the Abraham Shapiro Academic Complex on your right. Follow Loop Road until you see three Chapels on your left.
  6. Immediately after the Chapels, turn LEFT onto the asphalt road that runs perpendicular to Loop Road.
  7. Continue on the path, passing a cluster of brick buildings on your right (Rosenthal residence hall).
  8. Bear right to pass through a stone circle area. After the circle, bear left into a small parking area (I-Lot) with spaces on either side. This parking area is adjacent to the Feldberg Communications Center entrance.
  9. Be sure to hang the parking permit on your rear-view mirror. Someone will be at the entrance to greet you. If there are no spaces available, we can direct you to parking spaces in front of the Gryzmish building.

Walking Directions to the Lab

If for any reason we miss you at the entrance, please follow the walking directions below.

  1. Enter through the basement of the Feldberg Communications Center. Proceed down the hallway, passing a small kitchenette on your right and through a set of double doors and down the ramp. Take a right at the corner. Continue toward the end of hallway. The elevator will be on your left next to the vending machine. Take the elevator to 3F.
  2. We are located on the third floor. The door is labeled, "Emotion Lab, Room 133-316"
