I will be studying food and its importance in society through culture,
commercialization, geographic peculiarities, and its importance on
communities. Specifically, I will be studying fast-food and its effects,
such as mass-marketing of food. I will study the ways restaurants serve as
information and social hubs for communities in small towns or rural
locations. And I will investigate the way "American" food differs from
region to region throughout the country, and its implications.
