Graduate Level Course Offerings in Sociology
Current and Recent Seminars
Department of Sociology in Brandeis University Bulletin
The Brandeis Sociology Department makes available four different types of graduate instruction:
- First, we offer four Graduate Seminars per year: one in theory, one in methods (these rotate every two years), and two courses that reflect our substantive interests (these rotate every three years).
- Second, we teach Joint Seminars in substantive areas, between two and four per year. These courses are limited to twelve students - half graduate students and half advanced undergraduate students.
- Third, we offer a broad variety of tutorial courses (group readings, independent studies).
- And fourth, students may take courses in other Brandeis departments and in schools that are part of the Boston Consortium:
