Four types of graduate instruction are available:
- We offer four graduate seminars per year: one in theory, one in methods (these rotate every two years) and two courses that reflect our substantive interests.
- We teach two to four joint seminars per year in substantive areas. These courses are limited to 12 students — six graduate students and six advanced undergraduate students.
- We offer a broad variety of tutorial courses (group readings, independent studies).
- Students may also take courses in other Brandeis departments and at schools that are part of the Boston Area Graduate Consortium:
