RAFI GROSGLIK

RafiRafi Grosglik is a postdoctoral visiting scholar in the Department of Sociology at Brandeis University. He received his PhD from the Department of Sociology and Anthropology, Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, Israel. His dissertation deals with the cultural field of organic food in Israel. He awarded the Jonathan Shapira Post-Doctoral Fellowship, Tel-Aviv University, Israel.He focuses on sociology of food, cultural globalization, ethical consumption, environmental sociology and Israeli society. He is a guest co-editor of special issues on Food and Power in Hagar and Food, Culture & Society. He also published several peer-reviewed articles in Journal of Consumer Culture, Israeli Sociology, Food, Culture and Society andIsraeli Sociology. He also completed a book manuscript titled: “Organic Food, Alternative Eating and Global Culture in Israel” (forthcoming, Resling Publishing Press [in Hebrew]). He is founder and chair of Consumption and Culture research network of the Israeli Sociological Association (ISA) and cofounder of Environment and Society research network of the ISA.
