Undergraduate Departmental Representatives

The 2009/2010 Undergraduate Representatives for the Sociology Department are Max Fischlowitz-Roberts '10 and Becky Sniderman '10.

Max Fischlowitz-Roberts '10

Hi everyone! My name is Max Fischlowitz-Roberts. I'm a senior and excited to serve as one of the Sociology Department's UDRs! I'm a Boston native, but I've lived most of my life in Clayton, Missouri (outside of St.Louis). Around campus, I sing with Manginah, Brandeis' co-ed Jewish a cappella group. I also serve on the Hillel board as its Campus Relations Coordinator, and I'm involved in leading the Brandeis Reconstructionist Organization. I've also served on the Student Union's dining services committee for the past three years. After Brandeis, I hope to make a career of working as an advocate for those who can't speak for themselves, especially farmed animals. I also look forward to meeting you!

Becky Sniderman '10

Becky is majoring in both Sociology and Philosophy and is minoring in Health: Science, Society, and Policy and Social Justice Social Policy. She is president of the all female a capella group Too Cheap for Instruments and is also a member of the Brandeis University Chorus. She has enjoyed being a member of the Student Scholar Partnership through the Women's Studies Research Center assisting Professor Janet Giele and her research on homemaker and career women. She loves the Sociology department and welcomes any emails with questions or suggestions about the department and hopes she can be helpful.
