David Colfer
Managing Director

David Colfer joined Brandeis in 2002 following 15 years of successful theater management in Boston commercial theater, including Broadway in Boston/Clear Channel Entertainment. For five years he managed and supervised the restoration of the legendary Colonial Theatre, the oldest continuously operating theater in Boston. Colfer also built and opened the Stuart Street Playhouse, where, as managing director, he supervised long runs of the hits "Stomp" and "I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change." He independently produced "A Christmas Carol" with Gerald Dickens, Charles Dickens' great-great-grandson, and served as marketing director for Commonwealth Shakespeare Company's Elliot Norton Award-winning "Twelfth Night." Colfer is on the board of StageSource, the Alliance of Boston Theatre Artists and Producers, and a member of the Association of Theatrical Press Agents and Managers. He received degrees in management and communications from Boston University.
