September 2017 Updates from the English Department

Creative Writing Co-Director Elizabeth Bradfield was awarded a Brandeis Research Innovation Award for her project titled "The Horsehead's Return: Gray Seals Rewilding New England." She has also recently published the following poems:

Ziskind Poet-in-Residence Rebecca Morgan Frank's new book, "Sometimes We're all Living in a Foreign Country" (out October 17th from Carnegie Mellon University Press), was reviewed in Publishers Weekly. Morgan was also the recent recipient of a Theodore and Jane Norman Award for her summer research.

Ulka Anjaria published a new article about Indian English novelist Chetan Bhaghat.

Caren Irr has joined the editorial boards for "PMLA," "Contemporary Literature," "American Literary History," and "Journal of Modern Literature."

Marc Weinberg, along with his wife Victoria Fraser, won a Writers Guild of America award (the Feature Writer Access Project) for their screenplay, "The Midnight Ride of William Dawes".

Emerita Susan Lanser became president of the American Society for Eighteenth-Century Studies.
