Dr. Art Caplan '71, Director of the Center for Bioethics at the University of Pennsylvania and a recipient of the Brandeis Alumni Achievement Award, examined the current direction of genetic testing and genetic discrimination, issues raised by gene therapy, the future of eugenics, gene engineering and cloning. This event was cosponsored by Undergraduate Academic Affairs and First Year Services and the International Center for Ethics, Justice and Public Life.
