"Zapata's Garden" Film Screening

"Zapata's Garden," a video produced by an indigenous group describing the new society that the Zapatistas are building in Chiapas, Mexico, shows them fighting the effects of globalization and government corruption through their work in their collective garden. Alex Halkim of the Chiapas Media Project introduced the video and answered questions about the project. Co-sponsored by the Latin American Studies Program, the Office of the Dean of Arts and Sciences, the International Center for Ethics, Justice and Public Life, Peace and Conflict Studies, and the Department of Residence Life.
