Alan Slifka Visits Coexistence Program

Alan B. Slifka, the benefactor for whom the Slifka Program in Intercommunal Coexistence is named, visited the program April 24-25, 2006. During his stay, he met with students in the Coexistence and Conflict master's program as well as undergraduates who are studying at Brandeis through the Slifka Scholarship, which brings one Jewish and one Arab student from Israel to campus each year for four years of study.

Naomi Safran-Hon, one of the Slifka Scholars, presented Alan with a project she created, entitled "Parallel Narratives," that briefly encapsulates the stories and outlooks of the current Slifka Scholars through text and photography.
