Center Board Chair Publishes Memoir

Center board chair Theodore Sorensen, a speechwriter for President John F. Kennedy, has published a new memoir called Counselor: A Life at the Edge of History (HarperCollins Publishers). The book recounts his experience counseling Kennedy while he was a senator from Massachusetts and during his presidency. Sorensen offers an insider's perspective on historic events ranging from the decision to go to the moon to the Cuban Missile Crisis.

In addition to his memoir, Sorensen is the author of the 1965 book Kennedy as well as seven other books on the presidency, politics, or foreign policy. He serves as of counsel for the firm of Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP, in New York.
