Ari Hahn Peace Awards

1) Awards for art works and essays on peace

2) Travel grants for participation in a peace project or conference in the US or abroad.

3) Seed money for peace-related projects.

Brandeis Pluralism Alliance

A grants program providing up to $500 for student or faculty initiated projects that address issues of identity, pluralism and unity in the Brandeis community.

Ethics Center Student Fellowships

Fellows receive a stipend of $3500 to support a summer project anywhere in the world related to issues of international importance with an ethical dimension such as coexistence, human rights, international law, hunger relief, gender equity, education, global health, etc.

Eunice M. Lebowitz Cohen Fellowship in Classics

Four fellows will work toward completion of a Classics research or creative project, in conjunction with a Classicist Faculty Mentor. Classics majors or in some cases minors are eligible. The fellowship stipend is $500 for research expenses.

Jane's Travel Grant for Latin American Research

Brandeis graduate and undergraduate students are invited to apply for travel grants to fund research in Latin America and the Caribbean. The maximum grant is $3000 and grants vary in size, depending on the airfare, length of trip, and project budget.

Leonard Bernstein Festival of the Creative Arts

As part of the Leonard Bernstein Festival of the Creative Arts grants up to $500 are awarded for student, staff or faculty initiated arts projects. Projects can represent any aspect of the creative arts, Theater, Dance, Poetry, Visual Arts, Music, Creative Writing, etc. Grant deadline is mid October, the Festival usually occurs in April.

Maurice J. and Fay B. Karpf Peace Award Prizes

The Karpf Peace Awards are given annually to students who wish to work toward coexistence and peaeful ways of addressing and resolving conflicts. Undergraduate and graduate students are eligible. Generally, about $2000 total is granted each year, with no single award exceeding $1,000. Usually awards range from $250 to $750.

Rapaporte Summer Internship Grants

The Women's and Gender Studies program offers 5 stipends of $2000 for students who undertake an otherwise unpaid internship at an organization or project which serves the interests of women, girls or gender equity.

Schiff Undergraduate Fellows Program

This program offers an opportunity for students to perform innovative research under the close mentorship of a faculty advisor. The faculty member and student present a joint application.
