ProfileSilvia Monteleone is a native of Genoa, Italy, where she graduated from the Università degli Studi with a Laurea in Lettere. She later obtained a Master’s degree in Italian at the University of Wisconsin Madison. Silvia Monteleone’s main interest has been in Medieval and Renaissance studies. She has worked on visual and literary representation of famous women in the Fourteenth and Fifteenth Century. She has also focused on language acquisition methodology and assessment, co-authoring an interactive software program in two parts – Pimsleur Italian IV and V, Comprehensive: Learn to Speak and Understand Italian – published respectively in 2013 and in 2015 with Simon and Shuster.
