Quantum field theory, quantum gravity, and string theory, and their applications to particle physics and cosmology.Profile

I am interested in a broad range of issues surrounding cosmology, particle physics, and quantum gravity, and their interactions with mathematics and condensed matter physics. I am currently focused on: (a) building models of cosmic inflation consistent with our knowledge of quantum gravity and with current data, and extracting observable predictions from these models; (b) understanding the structure of quantum entanglement in quantum field theories and quantum gravity; (c ) understanding the quantum dynamics of black holes, and the process of thermalization in quantum gravity; (d) constructing viable string theory models of particle physics and cosmology, and building computational tools to extract physical quantities in these models.
