ExpertisePoverty as a traumatic experience; best practices for ADHD diagnosis and management; HIV (and aging with HIV); organizational predictors of clinical practice; public health care safety net capacity building; insurance design; health care management; organizational theory and economic theory.
ProfileI am curious about why and how health care organizations (mal)function and the implications for clinical practice and patient care quality. I am writing my dissertation on how social ties influence health care decision making related to childhood ADHD, and am working with the National Survey of Children's Health for that purpose. In addition to organizational theory and health care management, my interests, research, and teaching involve a number of areas in health policy, public health, and advocacy.
