ProfileEcaterina Damian is a PhD Candidate from Heller School. Her dissertation examines effect of birthplace on self-reported health status, health care utilization, access to care and health outcomes among Canadian immigrants.
Ms. Damian also works as Research Assistant for Nursing Home Compare Project aimed at assessing consumer preferences for nursing home information in order to determine how preferences vary across race/ethnicity and how well the current information contained in Nursing Home Compare (NHC) quality report cards meets these needs and preferences.
Before joining the Heller School, Ms. Damian worked as Program Officer at the Center for Health Policy and Studies in Moldova. She coordinated and implemented national multifaceted program for treatment and support of people affected by HIV/AIDS funded by the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria.
