ProfileMy laboratory conducted research on the development and function of primary and memory B cells in the neonatal and adult mouse. In addition, I directed the Howard Hughes Undergraduate Summer Research Program for 13 years as well as other summer programs thereafter. After 30 years of funded research, I closed my lab and have since then served our biology majors (e. g., by acting as Biology Dept Undergraduate Advising Head, Coordinator of Independent Research, Coordinator of Senior Research and Honors, and Study Abroad Advisor) as well as facilitated research opportunities for minority students at other institutions. I teach full-time and have developed a set of courses with an infectious disease theme.
