Welcome Letter
Welcome Gateway Scholars and class of 2017!
On behalf of the Brandeis faculty and students, it is my pleasure to welcome you to Brandeis University as a Gateway Scholar. You were carefully selected for this program based upon your strong academic performance, quality of character and potential for contribution to our community.
Designed to provide English preparation to non-native English speakers, the Gateway program will engage you in intensive writing, reading and oral communication studies as you become an active member of the Brandeis community. For seven weeks, you and other international student scholars will be immersed in English courses. In the Fall semester, you will enroll full-time in Brandeis undergraduate coursework that may include additional Gateway courses as recommended by your academic advisor.
