Welcome Letter
Welcome Gateway Scholars and class of 2015!
On behalf of the Brandeis faculty and students, it is my pleasure to welcome you to Brandeis University as a Gateway Scholar. You were carefully selected for this program based upon your strong academic performance, quality of character and potential for contribution to our community.
Designed to provide English preparation to non-native English speakers, the Gateway program will engage you in intensive writing, reading and oral communication studies as you become an active member of the Brandeis community. For the first six weeks, you and other international student scholars will be immersed in English courses. In the fall, your Gateway courses will be matched with Brandeis courses, where you will join members of your entering class. Once these courses are complete, you will seamlessly move into full Brandeis undergraduate coursework.
