Off Campus Visits
Participants have the opportunity throughout the summer to connect what the learning in the course to real-life experiences by visiting organizations related to the course topic in the Boston-area and meeting with key professionals.
The exposure to community organizations related to the course will give participants the opportunity to see how the issues/themes of the course play out in the working world, to meet and interact with key professionals in the field and learn about their work.
Examples of site experiences (subject to change):
Innovation and Revolution: local software development company, Harvard Berkman Center for Internet and Society, MIT’s Media Lab
Journalism: WBZ (CBS affiliate in Boston), local newspapers or radio stations
Judaism and Justice: local Boston advocacy organization, law firm involved in social action related work, Boston Federal courthouse
World Religions: Trips to local houses of worship and religious organizations
