Real Estate Specialization

Real Estate

Real estate, the largest asset class in the world, yields a wide range of opportunities in development, finance and marketing.

The Real Estate specialization is geared towards students in the MA and MBA programs.  It can be completed with a minimum of 16 credits over the course of two years. Students who choose not to specialize, but who are interested in the subject, will also benefit from the broader set of course offerings that result from this program.

In light of the rigorous prerequisites and sequencing of courses, it is recommended that students plan ahead and complete course work over two years rather than one. If you have any questions about scheduling, contact your academic advisor.

An option for MA, MBA and MSF students.

Career Paths

The skills and experiences acquired in this specialization have proven to benefit students who embark on careers that require a broad understanding of real estate, including capital markets, financial analysis, development, market research and leasing, and urban planning. Employers have included Jones Lang LaSalle, National Development, Citigroup, Apartment Realty Advisors, and Cushman and Wakefield, among other leading companies in the industry.
