Washington DC, August 2013 -- Alumni Event & ALPFA Conference

Dean Bruce Magid and Brandeis IBS students outside the event, August 2013Dean Bruce Magid, along with Associate Dean of Career Services Elana Givens, spoke to over 20 Brandeis IBS alumni and students on August 3rd. Dean Magid was in the DC metro area to speak with student leaders at the annual ALPFA conference. The alumni event was organized by Esteban Ferro, PhD '10, to promote and create a more robust Brandeis IBS alumni network in DC

London, July 2013 -- Alumni Dinner with John Ballantine

John Ballantine and Alumni in London, Summer 2013A dozen Brandeis IBS alumni joined Professor John Ballantine for cocktails on July 6 on a rooftop terrace in London.  John Ballantine is the Director of the MSF Program and stopped over in London to visit with alumni after  the World Financial Centers (WFC) trip to Poland.  Professor Ballantine discussed his trip to Poland and the future of the EU and Energy.  Special thanks to his favorite Georgia TA, Thea Kokhreidze, MBA '07 for organizing the event.

Beijing, June 2013 -- Brandeis University Alumni Gathering

Beijing Alumni Gathering, June 2013Brandeis International Business School worked with undergraduate alumni in China to host a summer gathering for the Brandeis community in Beijing. The event was organized by Jamie Fleishman '11, who gave brief remarks along with Brandeis Professors Jian Wei and Xinwen Lu. Over 70 people attended, including 17 guests from the incoming Class of 2017! Special thanks to Chang Liu '11, Jesse Appell '12, Jie Dong '12, and Jake Laband '12 for their help in coordinating this event.

Istanbul, May 2013 -- Alumni Reception & Hassenfeld immersion experience Turkey&Azerbaijan

Istanbul Alumni Reception, May 2013Alumni, friends, and prospective students gathered for the 3rd Annual Brandeis IBS Boat Cruise on the Bosphorus. Brief remarks were made by Professor Can Erbil, who brought a group of 30 students (2013 Hassenfeld Fellows) to Istanbul, Turkey to experience its business, culture, and economy first-hand. Special thanks to Nihan Celiktas, MBA '12, for organizing the event.
