On November 10, 2011,  Brandeis International Business School hosted a “Women in Finance” panel discussion and dinner in New York City.  An impressive group of twenty-four alumnae attended the event from a range of class years with different industry experience in investment banking, marketing, valuation, and private equity. The distinguished panel included Amy Kessler ’89, MA ’90, SVP and head of Longevity Reinsurance within Prudential Retirement's Pension Risk Transfer business; Elida Reci, MA ’99, Governance and Public Administration Officer for the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UNDESA); Violeta Sacara, MA ’08, Assistant Vice President at Barclays Capital working as a trader on the municipal derivatives desk, and Ruxandra Balasov, MBA ’01, VP, Energy Commodities Finance at BNP Paribas.  The panelists began their careers during different economic climates, and together, their leadership experience showcased how far women have come in the field of finance.
