About the Asper Center
The Asper Center for Global Entrepreneurship serves as Brandeis' platform to probe and understand the key trends affecting entrepreneurship across cultures and borders. It provides an array of learning experiences through courses, seminars and conferences, internships, business plan competitions, field visits and meetings with global entrepreneurs. The Asper Award is given to an entrepreneur who achieves outstanding success in the global marketplace through creative marketing and business strategies.
The Center was established by Leonard J. Asper '86, President of CanWest Global Communications, Canada's largest media conglomerate. His generosity led to the creation of the Asper Forum and Entrepreneurship Award in 2004.
