Travel Plans

According to current visa regulations, you are eligible to enter the United States up to 30 days prior to the start of your academic program at Brandeis University. Your program start date will be listed on line 5 of the Form I-20 or on line 3 of the Form DS-2019. Please know that the Form I-20/Form DS-2019 (Certificate of Eligibility) will be reviewed by the Customs and Border Protection Officer at the Port-of-Entry to the United States.

When making travel arrangements, we strongly recommend that you take into consideration the orientation dates for Brandeis IBS, the academic calendar and any time you may need to search for housing off campus.

Arrival at Brandeis IBS

Upon arrival at Brandeis University, you are required to check-in at the International Students and Scholars Office (ISSO) in Kutz Hall. ISSO must verify your presence on campus to the US government. You will need to bring your passport and visa documentation when checking in at ISSO.

Remember, as an international student, you will need to check-in at ISSO at the beginning of every semester.
