Description: Prerequisities: FIN 201a and ECON 202a A directed reading course on Central Banking. The core readings will be the same for each student, but each student will use the readings to investigate a specific central bank that interests them. Each week students will write a short (2 – 3 page) essay discussing their central bank in light of that week's readings, and the group will get together to discuss for maybe 2 hours. At the end of the semester each student will make a short presentation about the central bank s/he has been studying. To register, you will need to contact Prof. Osler to request a consent code. During the first week of the semester, Prof. Osler and the students will identify a time when everyone can meet.
