Examines the relationship of the financial system to real economic activity, focusing especially on banks and central banks. Topics include the monetary and payments systems; financial instruments and their pricing; the structure, management, and regulation of bank and non-bank financial intermediaries and the design and operations of central banks in a modern economy. Usually offered every year.
