Description: Prerequisite: ECON 201a (may be taken concurrently). Open only to IBS students. Meets for one-half semester and yields half-course credit. Explores country risk from the perspective of bankers who seek long-standing relationships with clients in emerging markets. Examines quantitative and qualitative techniques to manage country risk in a dynamic environment. Various country crises and success stories will be analyzed by using case studies. Usually offered every year.
