Orientation and Registration Information for Incoming Exchange Students
The IBS Orientation is a mandatory program lasting 4 days in the fall and 3 days in the spring at the start of each new semester.
All incoming exchange students will receive a course selection form in the acceptance package. This should be filled out and returned to Matt Rocker (rocker@brandeis.edu). During the orientation, students will receive course advisement and will have the opportunity to change courses.
Additional information, including a schedule of events for the Orientation program will be emailed to accepted students during the summer or winter break preceding the exchange semester. This will also be available upon arrival at Brandeis.
Graduate Student Association
The University's Graduate Student Association (GSA) also sponsors an orientation for new graduate students at Brandeis. In addition to being an excellent resource for graduate students, the GSA offers a lounge and a large, quiet study room. The group coordinates a variety of social activities which give students from all of the Brandeis graduate schools the opportunity to interact.
During the orientation week, the GSA will offer a program of informative and social events. The GSA is an additional resources from which to obtain information about the university, Waltham and Boston. If you have any questions, you may contact Graduate Student Services at (781)736-3546 or visit the GSA website: www.brandeis.edu/gsa.
IBS Student Association
The International Business School Student Association is comprised of IBS students who volunteer their tie to plan social, educational and cultural events throughout the academic year. A sample of programs have included excursions into Boston for social and cultural events, charity projects, shopping trips, formal parties and informal get-togethers for students in all IBS programs. You will learn more about the IBS Student Association closer to your arrival time. We urge you to consider becoming involved in this student-run organization.
