BY PLANE
Logan International Airport is approximately half an hour from campus by taxi, or the public transit system. See "Public Transportation" below for transportation from the airport to Brandeis University.
TRANSPORTATION BY TAXI
If you are flying to Boston, it is easiest to take a taxi directly to Brandeis. Expect a fare of at least $45.
BY PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION
Take the free shuttle buses from the airport ot the "T" subway (they run every 10-15 minutes). From the subway (the MBTA or "T"), take the Blue Line Westbound to Government Center. The fare is $1.70 for one ride. Once you reach Government Center, transfer to the Green Line to North Station.
There you will have to carry your luggage 100 yards (meters) across the street to the Commuter Rail. You want to take the "Fitchburg So. Acton" train from North Station to the "Brandeis/Roberts" stop. This stop is directly on the Brandeis campus (you will find the tiny "R.R." on your campus map). The train runs approximately once an hour (less on weekends). Consult your schedule or on the web at www.mbta.com. The fare from Boston on the Commuter Rail is $4.75 ($5.50 if you buy the ticket on the train). The ride takes less than 20 minutes.
Another option is to take the Green Line D from Government Center to Riverside. It's a 5-minute taxi ride from there to Brandeis and will cost about $10.
