There are many announcements regarding academic meetings and deadlines, student affairs, events and other issues that you will want to be aware of as a student at IBS. To be sure that you receive all the information you need, here are some tips to help you subscribe to the appropriate email lists.
After getting a UNET username and password set, you should visit: https://lists.brandeis.edu/wws/ and sign in to the Brandeis Mailing List page. Type in "ibs" (without quotes) into the search box in the upper left hand corner of the page. Scroll through the search results until you find your degree and graduation year (e.g., ibsma09 or ibsmba10). Click on the proper list, then click "SUBSCRIBE." You will be prompted to enter your email address (only Brandeis email addresses will be accepted.) You are now signed up to receive all important emails from IBS. This mailing list is mandatory for each student.
There are other lists that you may also subscribe to in the same way if you are interested. For example, you may choose to subscribe to ibsstudent@lists.brandeis.edu. This list is for informational communication among students and can be used, for example, to buy and sell text books or sublet an apartment. Please do NOT use this list to advertise parties or social events of this kind. It is more appropriate to use Facebook for that purpose. There are also lists for various clubs that you may be interested in joining.
