How would you solve a crisis?
Win an internship, exhibit your talents and network with international policymakers
The Brandeis Chapter of the National Association of Business Economics (NABE) is proud to host the first ever Crisis Game on Friday, February 1, 2013.
What is the Crisis Game?
The Crisis Game is Brandeis NABE's first inter-school event, designed and organized by Brandeis NABE, with support from the National Association for Business Economics. It gives students an opportunity to apply their knowledge of economics, finance and market regulation in a simulation of a crisis, where within a 2-hour time frame the teams (representing the Central Bank and the Government of a simulated country) will come up with a solution to rescue the economy. As this event involves rigorous and prompt analysis, it is intended for bright and motivated students who posses an understanding of and high interest in macroeconomic policy and central banking. The winner of the game will be the team with the most persuasive and economically sound argument.
The event will be held in Wasserman Cinematheque at IBS on Friday, February 1st at 12:00 noon. All students and faculty are strongly encouraged to attend. The audience members will play a key role in the game. There will be ample networking opportunities for participants and audience members, and refreshments and lunch will be served.
Confirmed judges include Stuart Mackintosh (Executive Director, The Group of Thirty). Our valuable guests include David Katsnelson, MBA '09 (Senior Economist, RISI) and economists and recruiters from IHS Global Insight.
