The Taiwanese Student Association is new to IBS, but has already been busy hosting several on-campus events. In the spring of 2011, the Taiwanese Student Association invited Anne Huang, the Director General of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (TECO) to speak at IBS. This event was co-sponsored by IBSSA, the Asian Business Association and the Technology and Innovation Management Club. Ms. Huang gave a lecture on Taiwanese policy and economics.

Also during the spring of 2011, the group hosted a lunch with Dean Bruce Magid and memebers of the Taiwanese business community. During the 2011-2012 school year, the Taiwanese Student Association plans to assist in the organization of the annual IBS Lunar New Year Celebration, and hopes to attend and host networking and career-building activities at IBS and throughout the Boston region.
