Profile

Chad P. Bown is a specialist in areas of international trade laws and institutions. He has a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Wisconsin, he has been a visiting fellow at The Brookings Institution (Washington, DC), and a visiting scholar at The World Bank and The Center for European Integration Studies (ZEI) in Bonn, Germany. His research is currently focused on international trade disputes and frictions in the GATT/WTO system as well as national use of trade remedy laws such as antidumping.

Okun-Model Fellow in Economic Studies at The Brookings Institution (2004-2005)

Brandeis University's Kermit H. Perlmutter Fellowship for Teaching Excellence (2002-2003)

Brandeis University's Michael L. Walzer '56 Award for Excellence in Teaching (2001)

IBS's Teacher of the Year Award (2000, 2001)

Research grants from the Schulhof Foundation (2002) and the Mellon Foundation (1997-98)

Brandeis University Mazer Research Award (2001, 2003).
