Church is a senior investment banker at Needham & Company, LLC, and specializes in the Internet/new media and consumer products and services sectors. Church began his investment banking career at Alex. Brown & Sons, Inc. in 1984, where he started and ran that firm's Consumer group, serving as lead banker in more than 40 transactions. He then served as a diplomat to the United Nations in the early 1990's, responsible for enterprise privatization programs in Central and Eastern Europe, and ran the Boston office of Needham 1994 - 1997. He then started his own firm focused on European growth companies, which he sold to a London-based investment bank in 2000. He rejoined Needham five years ago to launch the firm's Consumer effort.
